Promises of God
Volume 10

.
This volume of five
Skit Packages focuses on God as a faithful promise-keeper.

Gods promise of power through the Holy Spirit is explained when the characters visit a power plant. The promise of eternal life, is celebrated when Tina asks Pastor Rufus why he is in a cheerful mood after a funeral. Eternal life is just one of the many promises of God that she discovers.

Not only does Tina thank God for the promise of answered prayer when she gets lost, but she's equally thankful for the promise of forgiveness after Pastor Rufus steps in the gum she planted for Harvey's foot!

Finally, Tina is comforted in knowing that even when she is all alone in her dark room at night, God is with her because He has promised to never leave her. Use this volume of Christian drama scripts for children to teach them about God's promises and how to use the power of the Holy Spirit to live a victorious life in Jesus.

Skit Package 1: "God Promises To Forgive Our Sins" (Rom. 6:23; John 3:16; 1John 1:9; IPeter 3:18; Eph. 1:7)
Pastor Rufus' idea to let the characters experience God's forgiveness by taking them to the courthouse, works even better than he planned! During the tour, Tina makes an emotional confession and they all get locked inside a jail cell. They will never forget how it feels to be forgiven! We emphasize the gift of forgiveness through belief in Jesus Christ.

Skit Package 2: "God Promises Us Eternal Life" (John 3: 16; I John 5: 13; John 5: 24)
Instead of going to the zoo, the characters find themselves in the middle of a funeral at the church. As they "spy" on Pastor Rufus and listen, they learn about God's promise of eternal life. They realize that what they do while they are alive effects what happens after they die! We emphasize the gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Skit Package 3: "God Promises To Answer Our Prayers" (Phil. 4:6,7; Jn. 15:7; Lk. 22:42; 2Cor. 12:7-10)
The characters finally get to go to the zoo. While at the zoo, they learn about the zookeeper's love and concern for the animals. Pastor Rufus helps them see the similarities between the zookeeper and God after the zookeeper stops Tina from feeding the seals her candy bar. We learn that God knows what's best for us, and that our prayers are sometimes answered with a "no."

Skit Package 4: "God Promises Us The Holy Spirit" (Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 12:7-12; 13:13; Lk. 11:11)
On a field trip to a local power station, the characters learn about God's promise to give us power, comfort and wisdom through His Holy Spirit. Tina gets lost, and the rest of the group experiences the Holy Spirit's help as they look for her. We emphasize that we were not meant to live a victorious Christian life all on our own, but that the Holy Spirit dwells in us to enable us to commune with God and witness to the world.

Skit Package 5: "God Promises To Be With Us Always" (Matthew 28: 19, 20; Psalm 139: 7-12)
Pastor Rufus acts as a "tour guide" as we visit each of the characters as they experience God's presence when they are scared or lonely; when they have done wrong; and in the good times too!
